A lovely market town with a mix of old and new shops. There are some great coffee shops to sit in and watch the world go by.

A fantastic day out for all the family. See animals you could never dream of seeing in the Kent country on safari. Rhino, giraffe and gorilla. You can even stay overnight in Livingstone Lodge.

A nice Sunday afternoon walk with the children and the dog. Then the children can play in the park.

I love taking the children here. Lovely walk, seeing the animals and it's free. You can spend 30 minutes here or 2 hours.

My daughters (aged 6yrs) and I love going to This Art of Mine because it is relaxing and fun. We have made lovely presents for family and friends while having a great time together. The ladies help you to learn new techiques to achieve great results.

Have visited the Bluebird Cafe many times, the views are spectacular as the tables are arranged in such a way that each gets a view, the menu is varied and the welcome is warm hence the reason we return with regularity. Keep up the good work.

It's a great place to eat, partly because of the food, but also because the staff are so friendly. The waitresses are terrific, and the manager always make me feel welcome. The whole village is a very relaxing place. I have taken several photographs of the area, and the owner has even bought some of my pictures. A great experience all round.

If you get the opportunity, visit on one of the open days when the Drop Redoubt is open and get the chance to look deep inside the defences and maybe climb the stairs of the Grand Shaft.
