About Annie
I am a true native Washington State American who came to England 12 years ago as a Telecoms professional, married a globe trotting Englishman and fell in love with life in rural Petham, Canterbury! So much so that I re-trained in Kent set-up my successful therapy practise and was proud standing for the national anthem in Maidstone Town hall, becoming a British citizen.
My work helping businessmen and women, teachers, mums, children and people from all walks of life in Kent and London has given me a unique insight into the pulse of our county. It is not all green and fragrant but is challenging in addressing how our citizens move forward in contemporary 21st century Kent. My research allowed me, after 10 years of client work, to write and launch my first book in October 2010– “Its Your Choice” which you can read more about on www.anniecap.co.uk
As the person responsible for recipes, I’m so pleased that for the third year running the cider company for which I am also a partner, Rough Old Wife, has been voted by the customers into the top three cider producers of Kent. I am hopeful that this will be our year to come away with the first place honour – a wonderful confirmation for a girl from a famous US apple state!
My spare time is devoted to painting and I was proud to have my whole “Angels” collection showcased at the old Marlowe’s theatre for the Cinderella pantomime. I gain my inspiration from the natural beauty of our flora and fauna with a unique abstract twist.
