About Bev

My husband, Steve, and I are lucky enough to run a small passenger boat on the tranquil waters of the Upper River Medway in the county town of Kent - Maidstone.

The boat, which he built at our boatyard in Allington especially for this section of water, can carry up to 56 passengers and runs throughout the summer months.

We run one hour trips daily from the Malta Inn at Alllington Lock, just along from Kent Life. It may be just off the M20 motorway, but you'll soon find yourself in a very different world! It is a very popular place to visit, as within a few hundred yards of the Lock there is something to interest everyone.

We also stop at Maidstone's Millennium Park, which is on the banks of the river, en route to the town centre, where there is excellent shopping, plenty of places to eat and drink, and fantastic free museums with plenty of history.

Passengers can board the Allington Belle and disembark as they please, and even return on a later boat so they can enjoy all our town has to offer. We also offer a two hour trip further up the river to Farleigh, which is a popular choice of clubs and groups, many of whom return to us for their annual jolly!
