The New Inn, Etchinghill, is the closest country pub restaurant to the Channel Tunnel terminal, near Folkestone. Consequently, locals refer to it as 'the first and last pub in England, depending on your direction of travel!'. It has a terrific reputation for high quality food, and is located in a beautiful village setting in the Elham Valley on the North Downs.

It's a great place to eat, partly because of the food, but also because the staff are so friendly. The waitresses are terrific, and the manager always make me feel welcome. The whole village is a very relaxing place. I have taken several photographs of the area, and the owner has even bought some of my pictures. A great experience all round.
