A wildlife park with a difference concentrating only on wildlife native or native in the past to the UK and Northern Europe, a great chance to see animals close up, and a great example of conservation and breeding programmes.

Tucked away just off the busy Herne Bay to Canterbury road, luckily Wildwood is well signposted and advertised. With ample parking, its secluded location provides a great environment to the collection of wildlife on offer. Unlike many zoos and wildlife parks access to the animals and proximity is brilliant which is great as many of the species in the collection are of the smaller variety. Great for kids to see the wildlife which should be in their everyday surroundings and which is returning due to the great work of places like Wildwood. In just a 30-40 walk through the enclosers, you can view native species such as deer, wild boar, herons, polecats, stunning red squirrels, owls, foxes and a pack of impressive wolves. As you continue along the well directed path you just discover more and more, with badgers, beavers, otters all happily relaxing in their ample enclosures. The enclosures are also designed with lower windows for the kids to view which often gets forgotten.
